Video: Raiza Biza - "Pyramids"

Raiza Biza is a relative new-comer but with quality tracks like the recent single "Pyramids" he will hopefully continue to make noise with the Crime Heat Records family. Download the Free "Dream Something" project at www.raizabiza.bandcamp.com and see for yourself.

Fine Art Friday: The Date Farmers

Though the buzz about the Date Farmers has been heavy for years, I always enjoy seeing the newest "old" work that they mash together for each new pieve of art. They are known for using random materials like house paint, sparkly stickers, strip club fliers, corrugated metal siding, and wheat paste posters in combination with their hand-drawn images of desert wasteland iconography like snakes, spiders and scorpions, distorted religious symbols and faded commercial signage. The combination of icons and ambiguous symbols always make for a good brain exercise.

Listen: Supastition - The Blackboard EP

On the heals of his recent video and single "Yada Yada" (produced by Marco Polo), Supastition drops a free download for his "Blackboard" EP. Always bringing intelligent rhymes and quotables with mild tough talk, Supastition AKA Kam Moye knows quality collabs and beats that fit his intensity. Check it out and support a quality artist who doesn't "sell like Kanye" but has worked with all the same folks.

Video: Sean Price - "Genesis of the Omega"

Duck Down Records resident bully Sean Price drops the official visuals for his "Genesis of the Omega" single from his most recent project "Mic Tyson". Clever as usual in his lumberjack style, Sean P stomps through the woods and chops down the wackness. Check out the UNofficial video below for a more humorous take on the track via Dallas Penn.

Video: Shabaam Sahdeeq - "Seasons Change"

Former Rawkus alumni and chronically typo'd namesake Shabaam Sahdeeq, recently dropped the video for his track "Seasons Change", produced by the UK's Lewis Parker, another 90's throwbacker. Nice mellow groove from an underground mainstay with quality verses. From the DEGREES OF SEPARATION mixtape, available here.

Listen: Hayze Rascoe - "SoberThot"

In my long list of collaborations, one of the original albums discussed was a joint effort with Virginia emcee Hayze Rascoe. From his voice, style, humor and choice in beats, Hayze shows appreciation for less "club heavy" rap and takes a more skill heavy approach to the game. Always checking for new work by him and hoping to bless the world with our "Rice and Beans EP" someday soon. In the mean time, check out his recent output on Bandcamp or his videos on Youtube. Help support quality music and shine a light on the underdogs.
