Any time I see an artist take delta blues and give it a modern spin, I admire the creativity that much more. Mississippi emcee Propaganda did exactly that to pay homage to his roots and tell his family history over a gritty, blues riff. As part of the Humble Beast roster, he helps keep their positive vision of the world alive and showcases his mantra on this track. DiVance Walker appears to be just starting out on his road to success, but from this single and previous releases, he seems to have a good head on his shoulders and doesn't choose to follow the mainstream sound of current rap radio. His most recent release "Rocks On Pavement" borrows an old RJD2 track as the soundtrack for his personal stories of life's struggles.
