Video: Dana Coppafeel X SpeakEASY X Proph - "One of These Kids"
Milwaukee record label Uni-Fi Records just dropped the creative music video for "One of These Kids" featuring Dana Coppafeel, Proph, SpeakEASY and produced by Da Ricanstrukta. This grouping may seem on on paper, but the combination of many of the Midwest best kept secrets and the visual talent of Xavier Ruffin makes for a fun song and video.

Fine Art Friday: Grotesk
Grotesk is a graphic artist and Swiss import to NYC as of 1999. He has churned out much-loved graphic design and illustration inspired by old school rap albums and ABA jerseys. He has worked with many hip hop artists big and small and continues to perfect his style with each new design, whether on apparel or digital or on paper. You may be familiar with his work and not realize it, but if not, then check out his archive website or search his name on Google search while he rebuilds his site.

Planet Asia X Gensu Dean - "Faces On The Dollar"
Mello Music Group continues to put out quality releases with regularity and this new track by Planet Asia, produced by Gensu Dean entitled "Faces On The Dollar" is proof of that. Planet Asia has collaborated with folks worldwide and I'm glad to see him linking with producers for entire projects, like some of his other recent output. The upcoming album "Abrasions", a full length album produced entirely by Gensu Dean, is out February 26 on Mello Music Group. Here's hoping more more of the same to help shine a light on some underground legends.

Listen: Silent Knight - "Stand Up"
As former Rawkus 50 alumni Silent Knight preps his upcoming "Busy Is My Best Friend II" album, he recently dropped the single "Stand Up" with Elementality Productions as a preview. Silent Knight seems to have a consistent lyrical style and choice of quality beats that fit his sound and continue the legacy of Rawkus era releases in the face of the modern "techno rap radio". He brings a mix of good production (guest spots by !LLMIND, Red Walrus, and MadWreck) and slightly street mindset to the music with a balance of some mellow, introspective songs as well, kinda like Termanology at times.
Check it out here and keep your eyes open for the project coming January 22, 2013.

Video: Theory Hazit - "Find Me" Remix
Though I do not typically check for Christian hip hop, the Humble Beast crew does a good job of not preaching and just trying to stay positive for the most part. Theory Hazit just dropped a gem of a track and video for "Find Me" (remixed by Beautiful Eulugy) and I have to recognize good music for good music's sake. Kind of an indie rock vibe but a good redemptive, "hard knocks life" reflection track from Theory Hazit. If you like the vibe, check out the Humble Beast roster. Most of their work is free, so no loss if you invest a few minutes to absorb some more positive messages in your life.

Video: The Kid Daytona - "Humid Nights" (Prod. by JR&PH7)
Relatively slept-on German producer-duo JR and PH7 recently dropped the official visuals for the track "Humid Nights" featuring The Kid Daytona from their "The Good Life" album. The Soulspazm crew has a knack for creating chill backdrops for many underground emcee's and music groups and the newest album keeps those efforts consistent. Check it out on ITUNES here and see how international cats keep the rue School alive overseas.
